DOES ANYONE REALISE A FRUIT CAN PREVENT HEART DISEASE?


LDL cholesterol is not a problem. LDL only causes atherosclerosis when it becomes oxidised. And to prevent oxidation look to pomegranate juice.

Researchers looked at 20 women and men all of whom had significant carotid artery stenosis. This refers to a narrowing of the carotid artery which is caused by a buildup of atherosclerotic plaque thus narrowing the artery.

They measured the degree of carotid artery narrowing, blood pressure, their levels of oxidised LDL, and their total antioxidant status after which they gave half of the group a glass of pomegranate juice every day for a year.

The results were absolutely amazing. In the first year of this experiment, the narrowing of the arteries in the NO pomegranate juice group had increased 9%. The juicers had a 30% decrease in narrowing and the oxidised LDL decreased on an average of 90% and blood pressure decreased 12%.

You can purchase some pure pomegranate juice from your local health food store and one should drink at least 4 oz (~100gr) a day. Recheck your oxidised LDL again in 3 months, and there’s a good chance that it will be in the optimal range.
